Saturday Night Fever

Saturday Night Fever at Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre

Why see Saturday Night Fever?

You Should Be Dancing!

Get on your white flares and dust off that glitter ball because Saturday Night Fever is back. This new production transports you back to the glittering era of disco, and features all of the classic Bee Gees songs that defined an era, including the title number, You Should Be Dancing, Staying Alive, More Than A Woman, Tragedy and How Deep is Your Love.

Based on the classic 1977 movie starring a fresh faced John Travolta (who would also star in Grease a year later), Saturday Night Fever centers on the character of Tony Monero, a clerk in a paint store in Brooklyn. His days may drag by, but on Saturday he heads down to the local disco, where he's king of the dancefloor. There he meets Stephanie and together they decide to take part in a dance competition. But can their friendship survive the contest? A funky, gritty tale of love and ambition, this all-time classic musical hits in , ,

Awesome Show!

Attended last evening and it was a blast! Everything from the singing, dancing, sets and lighting were right on target, capturing the Disco years with love. Kudos to the orchestra for their on-spot renditions of the score. Put on your dancing shoes, and get on over to the Walnut for this show! ... Read more
